The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, designed by Kirtland K. Cutter,
is located in the historic town of Wallace, ID.
It started out as a wooden structure in 1888, but was replaced with red brick in 1910 after the Great Fire, even thought it was spared.
The church closed in 2018 due to lack of congregants.
Today, after opening in 2019, it is a Barnard-Stockbridge Museum, that displays images in large format taken by a former Mayor Thomas Barnard[1861-1916] and Nellie Stockbridge[1868-1965] between 1894 -1964.
Original collection of over 200,000 images is preserved in the University of Idaho Library Special Collections Unit. The museum has full access to all the digitized images.
As I was sitting in the office going over images of Wallace with Charlie, who works there and is amazing in navigating though the files in the computer, I felt like something touched my right leg twice.
Psychic Medium Jennifer Von Behren could see a friendly male spirit in the office .
Jennifer also saw another male spirit, who was dressed like a Catholic priest, talking, with his voice echoing.
Jennifer was told that the pastor was mean. He does not want to leave . He is still preaching to his " flock" .
As you go down to the basement, there is a little door to your right, where Jennifer could hear a female crying.
The room, used as a storage room according to Charlie, is large enough for a few adults to stand in at the same time.
Jennifer felt like someone knocks things over and moves things in the basement.
I did a quick voice recorder session there and got an immediate male response. I couldn't make out his name unfortunately.
Barnard-Stockbridge Museum is a must see for anybody interested in old photos, plus the setting in an old church is pretty cool. The entry to the viewing area is through the original bell tower atrium and it has the original church pews for seating still.
The bell tower bells are still in operation according to Charlie.
Be sure to go check out the photos and exhibits in the basement as well.
The Barnard-Stockbridge photograph collection is considered to be the best photographic collection in the NW and one of the 7 best collections in the U.S.
To update the information on the museum web site, printed copies of the pictures do cost 20.00 and there are currently no classes or tours offered, however Charlie and his co-worker can answer most questions or elaborate on the history when needed.
