After interacting with the many ghosts, including Mr. Louie Davenport [1868-1951], at the historic Davenport Hotel for over a decade, I decided to check out the activity at the newly remodeled luxury boutique Hotel Louie, formerly Hotel Lusso, one of 5 hotels in the Davenport Hotel chain.
I stayed in room 248, which is said to be where Mr. Davenport had stayed from1890 till 1893 and where you will find a golden plaque on the wall by the door stating the same.
I got immediate responses on the voice recorder in this room, all 5 floors, the lobby and the billiard room.
In room 248, I was also able to get responses with other equipment such as the flashlight , which Mr. Davenport pushed to make it roll on the counter top.
You can find a separate video posted of this on our page.
According to Psychic Medium Jennifer Von Behren, the energy of room 248 itself felt good, however she saw 3 different ghosts in there.
The first one was a female, who wanders in the halls and pops in to see who is staying in the rooms. Her behavior was strange and her energy was such, that both me and Jennifer felt very dizzy and nauseas. The reason for this was due to the ghost being very drunk. Whether she was celebrating 4th of July or drowning her sorrows in a bottle, we don't know, but Jennifer felt that she liked to be this way and later saw her standing on the roof of the old Miller Block side of the building.
The second ghost in room 248 was Mr. Davenport. He always likes to come and say hello to me on the voice recorder, but generally isn't interested in the equipment. This time however, he decide to turn on the flashlight for hello as well and later push it to make it move.
As soon as the drunk female ghost came in the room, he left.
The third ghost in room 248 was a petite woman with red hair, who liked to party and smoke. She looked to be from the 50's or the 60's and resembled the step mom from the film "Parent Trap", according to Jennifer.
In the lobby , Jennifer saw a female ghost wearing an old style dress from the late 1800's or early 1900's, who's name was Marie and who had died in a fire.
Speaking with a French accent, Marie said that there is a little group of them, that like to go around from place to place.
She also said, that Louie used to have a secret passage way to his vault area below the Post street from the basement "they" didn't want people to know about.
There was a French-Canadian population in Spokane late 1800's, 1900's and early 20th century.
The wife, Georgia J. Ballou Whitten[1865-1950] of the original owner of then separate Whitten block Leydford B. Whitten[1850-1927], was descended from an old and prominent French family, who settled in the U.S. in the 1800's.
In the billiard room, where I got voice responses and interaction with the flashlight, Jennifer saw a male spirit. He was not a worker and not from this building, but rather wanders around from place to place.
As for the basement, I was not able to confirm any activity at this time due to not being able to go into any of the rooms there, that had construction materials in them.
However, Psychic Medium Jennifer Von Behren felt that the basement feels fun and is very active.
It felt like a breeze way, where people come and go.
It occupied a restaurant once, which was later closed.
There is a lot of residual energy in The Hotel Louie building, according to Jennifer, which is no surprise due to the fact that this building started out as 2 separate buildings, The Miller Block and the Whitten Block in the 1890, both with many retail stores, tenants of then apartments and hotels etc.
For more information on the history of both Miller and Whitten block, please read under the pictures.
There is no doubt that The Hotel Louie has paranormal activity and many roaming ghosts from the neighborhood visiting it.
I did not come across anything negative during my stay.
The rooms are large and comfortable and the lobby area, with the separate billiard room, creates a pleasant atmosphere to sit and enjoy a drink on a Friday night.
All and all a great place to stay.
