The beautiful Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks, MT

John Q Adams saw the need for a hotel after the Milwaukee Railroad arrived into town, so he bought the Madison House in 1862 and had it moved to Three Forks . After construction in 1910, the historic Sacajawea Hotel opened its doors.
Today, it is home to Pompey's Grill and Sacajawea Bar that feature live music. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is good as well. Like many old hotels, Sacajawea Hotel is also listed as haunted. Mr. John Quincy Adams is said to still wander the halls, and even go into some of the quest rooms. Footsteps are heard when no one is around. Some have seen a maid on the 3rd floor vanishing into a wall that used to have a linen closet. These sightings are believed to be residual (events that repeat themselves over and over.) Some have seen and heard a young girl, maybe 4 years old, bouncing a ball by the main staircase.
In the dining room, a woman in red has been seen, and some believe her to be Madam Laura Adams- who was murdered.
We stayed in Room 309, which is believed to be a haunted room where a woman hung herself. Also, we were able to capture a woman's voice on our voice recorder during an evp (electronic voice phenomena] session. Finally, the staff has also seen shadows in the lobby area. We found no evidence of the little girl, or Mr. Adams at this time. You can request a tour of the Madison House, which is also haunted by 2 male spirits- one not so friendly. We were able to capture a male voice on our voice recorder while touring it.

Sacajawea Hotel is well worth the visit. After a long day's drive, you can kick back and relax on its beautiful porch.
